HS 37: Naga Giveaway
Another apology for getting this episode up late. We’re still trying to get used to Logic Pro and Sigmandis decided to make his voice 10x lounder than Xantar’s on his recording so we had to pull a backup. We cover some newly released beta content, tell beginners how to use the Real ID system, and talk about Blizzard’s big announcement about cross-realm-zones. WoW 101: Setting up Ventrilo/Mumble VoIP
Being able to talk to your friends that your playing in a game with is a nice social feature. In competitive gaming its a necessity. Currently the two big VoIP (voice over internet protocol) software programs are Ventrilo and Mumble. The only things that the programs require you to have is speakers and some form of mic. Most players will use a headset, but if your desperate you can use your laptops built in microphone and speakers. Both software packages require you to have a host server. These server cost a small monthly fee (around $5~$10) and are usually provided by your guildmaster (GM). More…
HS 36: The Tech Gods Are Angry
Both Xantar and I am very sorry this took so long to get up. 10 minutes before the show I must have done something to anger the tech gods as nearly anything in my apartment having to deal with technology has been failing. Why 10 minutes before show you ask? Well that was the time the Macbook Pro that we use to record the show decided to die. Then the backup solution I had been working with Xantar on his end decided to not function correctly. Then my microphone boom’s table clamp decided to come apart, then the TWITCH.TV feed decided to break, then the shock wave plugin on all my web browsers decided to stop functioning, and finally when I came home from work yesterday my washing machine decided to die as well. So I was finally able to take the time to pull the TWITCH.TV feed into Logic Pro, try to dress it up some, and get it posted on the site. I’m even throwing in show notes!

Maxim Gamer Girl Pt2
We’ve got our second live show this week, and with it two more gaming ladies as our guests. We’re hoping you’ll join us! Our show last week with our guests had some great discussion and we had a great time. Both these ladies on the show this week are involved with World of Warcraft in some way and we’re looking forward to having some indepth discussion with them on the game. HS 33: We’re LIVE
Despite technical difficulties at the beginning of the broadcast the Holy Shatt crew pulled off a successful live stream. We’ve had this in the works for months now so we’re really excited that we pulled it off. Of course such a special occasion couldn’t exclude special guests. We filled our Skype call to the max with three lovely ladies from the Maxim Gamer Girl contest. The girls floored us with their knowledge and we had a great round table/interview on our favorite memories, and moments, from video games. Maxim Gamer Girl Interview Show

The Holy Shatt crew recently learned about the Maxim Gamer Girl contest and what better way to launch our live show than with a guest hosts or two. We decided to give the contestants the opportunity to tell our listeners why they should vote for them. The stereotype of fat nerdy guys being the only ones who play video games all day is about to get shattered (no pun intended). Tune in to listen and decide who deserves your vote.

Overview:
Welcome back to Raleighite’s World of Warcraft 101 series where we get down to basics. In a prior article we talked about the bare basics, how to walk talk and run. In this article we’re going to look at how to accomplish the major task you’ll be facing starting out; how to get to max level. There’s many different ways to level your character up, however there is a “best” way to do things. Always keep in mind that while there is a “best” way in terms of the fastest way to accomplish leveling to max; the main point of the game will always be to enjoy it.
